United Commercial Upholstery is a production consultant and OEM supplier catering to the recreational industry. We specialize in doing design work, patterning, and in-house training for manufacturers that have their own furniture production departments, and also supply completed furniture to manufacturers that buy finished furniture from outside suppliers.

Our services encompass nearly every process necessary for manufacturers to equip their products with high quality seating that is practical to produce.

We Offer:

Design and Color Consultation. Because we deal with many different manufacturers we are able to keep a perspective that encompasses a large segment of the recreational industry. By utilizing our design services manufacturers are able to work on next year model changes without pulling their most valuable employees from production. Our design services can include every step necessary for switching over to a new style of seating, including manufacturing prototypes, creating production ready patterns, setting up kitpacks for seat foam, and even doing in-house training to ensure that production employees are able to change to new furniture while maintaining quality and production efficiency.

Completed Furniture. This is often the most practical route for many manufacturers that may lack the personnel, production space, and expertise necessary to efficiently produce high quality seating for their boats. Manufacturers may utilize a stock style of seating, or may utilize our design services to create a line of furniture that will be used exclusively for their own products.

Our services are also available in a "cafeteria style", to help alleviate production bottlenecks:

Pattern Making. Show us what you want your furniture to look like, and we will create the patterns for your production department.

Pattern Correction. Sometimes the basic look is there, but for some reason there is always a wrinkle, it is unreasonably difficult to produce, or it "just doesn't look right." We can adjust your patterns to improve quality and production.

Contract Pattern Cutting. Drop ship us your material, and we can ship you cut pieces.

Custom Embroidery for Seating.

Contract Sewing. We will sew your cut pieces into completed seat skins or jackets.

Fabric Slitting.

In House Training. We will come to your location, evaluate your patterns and production methods, and train your personnel.
